Celebrating Freedom and Patriotism The day of 15th August was filled with joyous and overwhelming experiences. It was a day worth remembering. On the 15th of August every year, India celebrates its independence from the British Empire. Every year, volunteers of AASRA go to their respective workplaces and celebrate with the children there, marking the spirit of independence. Like every year, this year's Independence Day programme went really well too, with a number of tiny tots making merry by inculcating the sense of patriotism and celebrating Independent India. In Sector 2, interesting competitions and motivational talks were organized, aiming for a holistic development of the children. The programme started well with a drawing competition being organized, giving an opportunity to the young artists to showcase their talents.
