OSAP-Nourishing minds, Shaping characters  “Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime  “  -Maimonides                  AASRA, a non-profit organisation started by a group of students of NIT Rourkela in the year 2005, understands the magnanimity of these lines and strives to uplift and reach out to the underprivileged sections of the society, providing educational background to the children and employment opportunities to the adults. Presently, the AASRA family has grown enormously and has spread its wings of service over seven workplaces and OSAP is one of them.             OSAP  is one of the oldest workplaces of Aasra started during the initial days of Aasra and is around 6-7km away from the NITR campus. Surrounded by beautiful mountains and scenery, it has a peaceful village atmosphere. The workplace is named for its location in Odisha Special Armed Police colony. Sector 2 AASRA: A Beacon Of Hope Aasra, the social service club of NIT Rourkela, has been around for many years now. Established on the 26th of January in 2005, the organization has touched the hearts of many and has striven tirelessly to fulfil its objective of uplifting the underprivileged section BECAUSE THEY NEED US. At present, there are 8 workplaces and Sector-2 is one of them. Sector-2 workplace was established in 2014 by AASRA with the help of Father Benny (chairperson of CWS hospital).  It is the workplace that is closest in distance to NIT Rourkela. Having started off with around 15 kids, the workplace struggled a lot in handling the kids. Initially, Sector-2 was the only workplace which had daily visits excluding Sunday. Problems cropped up after the initial semester where many members were inactive. Although, the positive side to this was that the bonding between the active members and the kids became very strong. Sector 5 ↔️ Chhend A Journey Of Transition A remarkable academic year comes to an unexpected close. While the spring end-semester stands cancelled owing to an unprecedented pandemic, the entire fraternity of NIT Rourkela has seen a roller coaster of an academic year. The same has extended to AASRA and consequently to Sector-5 and Chhend as well. Let us rewind all those that happened in this year – 2019-20 in the workplaces of Chhend and Sector-5.  Sector 5 Sector 5 was one of the workplaces of AASRA until December 2018. It is 5 km away from the NITR campus. Our mode of transportation was through cycles. We provided our service for 7 years. During this course of time, there was an incredible shift in their mindset. Every individual residing in Sector 5 started aiming for a better way of life. They started giving utmost importance to education. We strived wholeheartedly to cultivate this kind of mindset and we finally achieved it by the end of 2018. By this time, all the
