PMKVY for the win,again!
PMKVY for the win, again! AASRA, the social service wing of NITR has been working for years for the upliftment of the underprivileged in Rourkela. Our volunteers go around Rourkela and teach these underprivileged children. Everything was going well, but we observed that many of these kids gave up their studies after 12 th and looked for petty jobs due to many unheard reasons. This is when we realized that success wasn’t only about classroom scoring. Thanks to Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) program which gave us an opportunity to help them come out of their plight. PMKVY being the world’s biggest skill development program with well maintained library and practical equipment sets an example for a well-planned curriculum.
